Physiotherapy Support Worker


 We have a perfect opportunity for someone who is looking to take their first steps in starting a career in healthcare. If you're interested in exercise, helping people and working in a department with exciting prospects then this is the job for you.

In this role you will be working on wards helping people regain their function after surgery and you will also get the chance to help people improve their strength before they have surgery too. You will do this working with Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists who will help you build up your skills, behaviour and knowledge to take on your own caseload.

There will be the opportunity for this post to have access to level 3 and 5 apprenticeships as well as the degree level undergraduate Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy apprenticeship.

JOB SUMMARY:
  • The main part of this post is to assist the Physiotherapists in treating patients across the surgical wards this includes exercise and cognitive based rehabilitation
  • To have responsibility for managing a delegated caseload with minimal supervision
